Group Rules! The Social Skills and Ground Rules for Children's Groups

The Problem:

Children in therapy groups and support groups require assistance in helping them maintain self-control and helping them relate well to the other members of the group.

The Solution:

Group leaders offer lists of the group rules that are beneficial for children's groups and they will often describe and teach the children a variety of social skills.

The Book:

Group Rules! The Social Skills and Ground Rules for Children's Groups includes a children's picture book and a leader's guide. The children's book describes social skills and ground rules, and offers both didactic information about these rules as well as an illustrated short story about a collection of children in a children's group. The leader's guide offers group leaders a variety of ways to maximize the use of the children's book and includes several activities that can be used to help the children learn each of the social skills.
